Integration quickstart

Integrate our uncensored model with a few lines of code using standard OpenAI SDKs. This quickstart guides you from installation to streaming responses with zero configuration overhead.

Install your preferred SDK

Start by installing the client library for your language of choice. The official packages handle authentication and request formatting automatically. This approach eliminates the need to manage HTTP headers manually.

For Python developers, the standard library is the most common choice. Node.js users should install the dedicated module. Both support the same underlying protocol.

  • Python: pip install openai
  • Node.js: npm install openai

Ensure your environment has a compatible version installed. The SDKs are lightweight and do not require additional dependencies for basic text generation tasks.

Set your base URL and key

Configure the SDK to point to our dedicated infrastructure. Replace the default base URL with our specific endpoint to ensure requests reach the correct server.

Your API key is generated immediately upon account creation. Store it securely in your environment variables. This key authenticates all subsequent requests to the chat completions endpoint.

The base URL is HTTPS://api.cheapestllmmodels.com/v1. Use this exact string to ensure compatibility with the OpenAI-compatible protocol. Do not add trailing slashes unless your SDK requires them.

Send your first request

Execute a simple completion to verify connectivity. This request sends a prompt and receives a text response from the uncensored model. The model id is set to "uncensored".

Check the response object for the generated text. If the request succeeds, you have successfully connected to the API. This confirms that your authentication and base URL are correct.

Errors typically indicate invalid keys or insufficient credit. Review the status code to diagnose issues. Most errors are resolved by checking your account balance or key validity.

cURL

curl https://api.cheapestllmmodels.com/v1/chat/completions \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "model": "uncensored",
    "messages": [{"role": "user", "content": "Summarize the core features of the API documentation."}]
  }'

Python

from openai import OpenAI

client = OpenAI(base_url="https://api.cheapestllmmodels.com/v1", api_key="YOUR_KEY")

resp = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="uncensored",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Summarise this thread without softening it."}],
)
print(resp.choices[0].message.content)

Node.js

import OpenAI from "openai";

const client = new OpenAI({ baseURL: "https://api.cheapestllmmodels.com/v1", apiKey: process.env.API_KEY });

const resp = await client.chat.completions.create({
  model: "uncensored",
  messages: [{ role: "user", content: "Draft a villain monologue for my game." }],
});
console.log(resp.choices[0].message.content);

Streaming

stream = client.chat.completions.create(
    model="uncensored",
    messages=[{"role": "user", "content": "Tell the story in second person."}],
    stream=True,
)
for chunk in stream:
    if chunk.choices and chunk.choices[0].delta.content:
        print(chunk.choices[0].delta.content, end="", flush=True)
